Project: Research the Lower Providence Township History Book

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

1. Conducting research to confirm information contained in the Township’s history book.
2. Ability to work independently utilizing various research sources such as:
   • County records,
   • Census and tax records
   • Property deeds
   • Church Archives
   • Local, County, and State Historical Societies
   • Web-based sources
3. The ability to communicate with and maintain a teamwork effort with township staff, elected officials and residents.
4. Requires strong organizational aptitude, excellent verbal and written communication skills, and ability to function effectively in a fast-paced environment.
5. Conduct one-on-one interviews with Township residents and others as necessary.
6. Perform other duties as assigned.

Equipment/Software

• Personal Computer
• Proficiency in MS Office
• Printer
• Other Office Equipment (copier, fax, telephone, etc.)
• Course work in history, English, or communications preferred

Lower Providence Township, Montgomery County, is currently accepting resumes for individuals to work in the Parks and Recreation Department as temporary Site Directors and Camp Counselors for the 2008 Camp Perkiomy Summer Camp Season.

All positions within Camp Perkiomy are seasonal and represent an employment commitment for the entire seven-week camp period. Counselors selected for the 2008 Camp staff are required to be available for work 7:45 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. All members of the 2008 Camp Perkiomy staff are also required to attend a mandatory orientation program prior to the start of camp.
