The Department of Finance not only handles the daily customary accounting operations of Lower Providence Township, but also Human Resources, Risk Management, Procurement, Pension Plan Administration, Budgeting, and Policy Development. The Department of Finance manages the Township's financial structure, which focuses on the following key objectives:

• Promotion of the efficient and ethical use of resources by public sector departments consistent with the Government Accounting Standards Board.
