The Lower Providence Township Supervisors are hosting an open house event to provide information on residential and commercial development, transportation strategies, scheduled road paving, as well as recreation and cultural projects. Before and after the formal presentation, attendees will have the chance to view exhibits and talk with representatives from several projects, including the Park Avenue, Eagleville Road, Crawford Road Intersection Improvement Project (SR 4004, Sec. Multimodal Transportation Fund Project).
The event will be held on Wednesday, May 9 at 2621 Van Buren Avenue in Audubon with a presentation starting at 5:45 p.m.; doors will open at 5:00 p.m. Exhibitors from several ongoing projects are expected to participate as well as representatives from the Lower Providence Township Police Department; the township traffic engineer, McMahon Associates; and Greater Valley Forge transportation management authority, among others.
“It’s an opportunity for residents to learn about ongoing projects and hear directly from the supervisors and developers about what’s happening in the Township,” said Supervisor Peter MacFarland. Last spring, the supervisors hosted a similar event. “The first open house was very well received and we look forward to reaching an even larger audience this time,” said MacFarland.
Over a dozen exhibitors, including SEPTA, Greater Valley Forge Transportation, Bald Birds Brewing, Lower Providence Volunteer Fire Department, and many others will be on hand to answer questions.
The event is being held in an unoccupied portion of an office building in the Park Pointe at Lower Providence Business Park. Those planning to attend are asked to contact Bill Roth, email@example.com, to RSVP.
