PECO to Upgrade Natural Gas Mains

PECO is undertaking projects in the Township to upgrade its natural gas mains, including installation of new underground pipe.

A project on Wedgewood Way, between Egypt and Driftwood roads, is underway. A second project on Egypt Road, between Culp and Crawford roads, is scheduled to begin later in October.  A third project on North Park Avenue, between Foster Avenue and Ridge Pike, is anticipated to begin in December.

Work on Wedgewood Way is to take place from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. The work on Egypt Road and North Park Avenue is being considered for evening hours to minimize the impact on commuter traffic. All work is weather dependent.

Residents in the affected areas will receive notification letters from PECO approximately two weeks before construction starts.  Any areas impacted will be repaired, the streets will be repaved, and all areas will be restored to their original condition. 

The Wedgewood Way project is being performed by Henkels & McCoy. The Egypt Road project will be performed by General Asphalt Paving.
