Proclamations Issued for Pride Month, Juneteenth Freedom Day

Board of Supervisors with Pride Flag

The Board of Supervisors issued proclamations for Pride Month and Juneteenth Freedom Day at its June 6th meeting.

The Pride Month Proclamation notes the Board is committed to supporting visibility, dignity and equality for the LGBTQ+ members of the diverse Lower Providence community and is pleased to display the Pride Flag during the month.

The Juneteenth Freedom Day Proclamation urges all residents to commemorate the holiday that provides an opportunity to recognize Black American heritage, to educate themselves about its significance and to connect as a community.
