Tax Deadlines Extended Due to the COVID-19 Emergency

Due to the impact of the COVID-19 emergency, the following tax deadline changes have been made:

  • Real Estate Taxes - The discount period for 2020 real estate tax bills is extended to May 31, 2020; face payment date has been extended to July 30, 2020. In-person payments have been cancelled until further notice. For information on mail-in payments, please click here.
  • Local Earned Income Taxes - The filing date for local earned income taxes is extended to July 15, 2020. You can file and make payments online or using the BerkApp (mobile app); more information can be found at the Berkheimer website.
  • State Taxes - The filing deadline for 2019 PA income tax returns is extended to July 15, 2020.
  • Federal Taxes - The filing deadline is extended to July 15, 2020. This relief also includes estimated tax payments for tax year 2020 that are due on April 15, 2020.
