The Lower Providence Township Board of Supervisors is accepting nominations for the 2018 “Citizen of the Year Award” and "Volunteer of the Year." Applications are due by October 1, 2018.
The Citizen of the Year Award is presented annually to an individual who has performed outstanding service or made exceptional contributions to the community. Anyone with community contact may nominate someone who they feel meets the criteria of the award. The recipient of the award is not made aware that they have been selected until the actual day of the award ceremonies which will occur during the second Board of Supervisors’ meeting in December.
When selecting the recipient for this award, the committee looks for an individual who, among other attributes, continually gives of his or her time, dedication and talents to the betterment of the community. The committee also looks for those individuals who lend leadership and vision, organize or assist in improving the Township and who exemplify the best attributes of the Township. The recipient will have given of him or herself so that the quality of life in Lower Providence Township has advanced or improved.
If you have a friend, neighbor or relative you feel has given unselfishly to help others or who meets any of the above criteria, you may pick up a nomination application at the Lower Providence Township Building or click here. Further information may be obtained by contacting Denise Walsh, email@example.com, 610-635-3531. Again, the deadline for nominations is October 1, 2018.
