Storm Cleanup Information

Lower Providence Township logo

Montgomery County officials have notified the Township that volunteer groups are available to help residents remove downed trees from their properties. Interested residents should email Michael Rohlfing,  LP Fire Marshal/Emergency Management Coordinator at mrohlfing@lowerprovidence.org. Residents should provide their name, address, and how many trees they need help removing.

JP Mascaro will resume regular Wednesday yard waste collection June 10. As cleanup continues from the severe storm, please keep in mind the following as you prepare items for yard waste collection:

Yard waste, leaves and lawn clippings should be placed in open-top containers or compostable paper bags (available at most home stores). Plastic bags may not be used. In order for Mascaro crews and equipment to handle them, branches should be cut to 3-feet in length, bundled with twine weighing no more than 50 lbs. or placed loose in open container (no higher than top of container). Branches larger than 3" in diameter cannot be collected.

Please be aware that it is illegal to dump your yard waste on another property even if it is wooded or open space. Thank you for being considerate of your neighbors.
