The Township’s 2021 road improvement project, which had been delayed until this spring due to the pandemic and logistical issues, is set to begin Monday, March 14.

Manhole adjustments, the first step in the reconstruction process, will be completed the week of March 14 on Lauman Avenue followed by Hollywood Avenue, Vine Street, Glenwood Avenue and Second Street. Once completed, milling and paving of the roadway will take place.

The process will be repeated for all roads included in the project. Roads included are: Van Buren Ave., Redtail Rd. (Eagleville Rd./Highley Rd.), Lauman Ave., Second St. (off Barry Ave.), Glenwood Ave., Hollywood Ave., Vine St., Doris Ln., Janet Ln., Lillian Ct., and Edwards Ln.

The contractor for the project is Allan Myers. Work hours will be 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

During some of the construction periods “Road Closed” signs may be placed in the area where the work is taking place. Provisions will be made to allow residents access to properties within the barricaded area. Emergency vehicles and school buses will not be affected. The contractors will post temporary “No Parking” signs when they are ready to start work on a street.
