Special Meeting of the Board of Supervisors – 3/20/2020

The Lower Providence Township Board of Supervisors will hold a special meeting on March 20, 2020 at 1:30 p.m. in the Township building to authorize the continuance of the Township’s Disaster Emergency Declaration of March 11, 2020. To comply with the Pennsylvania Emergency Management Services Code, the Supervisors must approve a resolution to continue the declaration beyond the initial seven-day period. The Disaster Emergency Declaration does not affect residents. It is needed for resource allocation only and enables the Township to expedite obtaining any needed resources and activating medical responders.

No other township business will be considered during this special meeting. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, the Township Building remains closed to the public. The meeting will be available for viewing and public comment via live streaming on the internet.

In light of the most recent state and federal public health directives regarding COVID-19, the Township Supervisors and staff are currently evaluating options for future Board of Supervisors meetings.  Information will be posted to the Township website and Facebook pages when available.
