As we look to better days ahead, Lower Providence Township is seeking to continue its practice of appointing student representatives to the Board of Supervisors. The Board would like to appoint two representatives, each for a one-year term (September 2020 – August 2021). The students will alternate attending the two monthly meetings of the Board.
The student representative sits with the five Supervisors, the Township Manager and the Township Solicitor during public meetings. While not a voting member, the student representative is welcome to ask questions and participate in discussions. The Board meets the first and third Thursday of each month at 7:00 p.m. in the Township Administration Building, 100 Parklane Drive, Eagleville, PA 19403.
Eligible applicants must live in Lower Providence Township and be high school juniors for the 2020-2021 school year. Students who are home schooled are eligible. Candidates should possess an interest in government and civic affairs. Children of elected officials or Township employees are not eligible.
