Supervisors Hold Annual Reorganization Meeting

Newly-elected Supervisor Sarah Charles and re-elected Supervisor Gary Neights were sworn in as the Lower Providence Township Board of Supervisors held its reorganization meeting January 2, 2024. Also taking her oath of office at the meeting was newly-elected Auditor Lisa Yanak.

The Board elected Dr. Janine Darby to serve as chair for year; Supervisor Neights was elected as vice chair.

At the meeting, the Board made appointments to vacancies on various boards/commissions These included:

  • Environmental Advisory Council - Graf Eggers and Terri Neufeglise
  • Human Relations Commission - Patricia Fennel- Peaks, Sarah Pirelli, Ellen Staurowsky and Jim Kelsh 
  • Library Board of Trustees - Florence Li-Moldonado (re-appointment)
  • Planning Commission - Tommy Avelar
  • Sewer Authority - Jason Sorgini (re-appointment)
  • UCC Board of Appeal - Richard Firth (re-appointment)
  • Vacancy Board - Erica Cohen (re-appointment)
  • Zoning Hearing Board - Tejal Mehta (advancement to full member from alternate)
